It is shown, that construction of the plane Stokes flow in an arbitrary, multiply connected domain can be reduced to solution of a system of linear equations-provided that the function is known, which transforms conformally the domain of flow onto an auxiliary one, bounded by circles. The solution itself is represented by means of two holomorphic functions assumed in the form of suitable series with unknown constant coefficients. The said system of linear equations for these coefficients stems from boundary conditions imposed on the two velocity components. The flow can be generated - simultaneously or alternatively - by the boundary conditions, and by suitably distributed singularities. In some features the method resembles our previous ones devoted to investigation of plane inviscid flows [e.g.: the authors, ibid. 27, 231-242 (1979; Zbl 0405.76006)] as well as of laminar flows [e.g.: the authors, ibid. 30, 579-589 (1982; Zbl 0563.76038)] - both in multiply connected domains.
