This article presents in modern algebraic notation ten examples of algebraic curves treated by Japanese traditional mathematicians (called Wasanka) of the period from the 17th to the 19th century before the introduction of Western sciences; two examples deal with conic sections, three cylinder sections, four torus sections, and one conoid section. The article contains two tables and one photo-stat copy from the original Japanese texts.
