A population dynamics model incorporating age- and size-dependent growth and mortality is proposed. The model is represented in the form of matrix equations conceptually derived from the \textit{J. W. Sinko} and \textit{W. Streiffer} partial differential equations [A new model for age-size structure of a population. Ecology 48, 910-918 (1967)]. To simulate population dynamics, the population number matrix is sequentially updated by size and age operators. The size operator has not previously been defined, whereas the age operator can be recognized as the subdiagonal survivorship elements of the Lewis-Leslie matrix. Birth is incorporated by defining birth size matrices, one matrix for each birth size when there is more than one birth size class of progeny.
