Consider a special class of electrical circuits, an oscillator with a type N negatron. Here, free oscillations are excited due to compensation of losses by means of negative resistance. If some parameter varies then the corresponding steady state changes its stability at different parameter values and Hopf bifurcation occurs. The author gives approximate formula for the bifurcation parameters and the corresponding frequencies.
