In this paper, by using one-sided spline approximation based on perfect B-splines, the author gives an explicit solution of a time-optimal control problem which is a modification of Schoenberg's problem [\textit{I. J. Schoenberg}, Israel J. Math. 10, 261-274 (1971; Zbl 0273.41006)].
