The authors consider the new approach to the definition of the Besov space on the unit sphere in \(R^ n\) [see, for congruence, the authors, Mat. Zametki 41, No.4, 509-516 (1987; Zbl 0656.42002)]. They describe the equivalent norms in these spaces which are induced by the best approximations by polynomials.
