This paper provides a general procedure which allows one to construct stable minimal hypersurfaces with any prescribed set of finitely many points as singularities and having prescribed tangent cones at these points. As a corollary one gets the first example of stable minimal hypersurfaces with more than one isolated singularity. The procedure is to attach a finite number of minimal cones together by thin strips at their boundaries, giving rise to a family of approximate solutions. One then looks for suitable normal perturbations of these that satisfy the minimal surface equation and have the same singular structure as the approximate solution. This is accomplished by a careful study of solutions of the linearized equations and using a fixed point theorem.
