The reviewer et al. [Isr. J. Math. 40, 331--339 (1981; Zbl 0496.31006)] proved a result about the inverse problem on potential theory concerning the Newtonian potential outside a ``potato'' in \(\mathbb{R}^3\). Here the authors generalize this result using (among other tools) the weak and strong maximum principles for subharmonic functions.
