Structurable algebras have been introduced by B. N. Allison, who classified all central simple finite-dimensional structurable algebras over a field of characteristic zero. These algebras have an associated Lie algebra. In fact, an analogue of the Koecher-Kantor-Tits functor gives a correspondence between a structurable algebra and its Lie algebra. Using this functor all classical simple isotropic Lie algebras can be obtained. In this paper the simple finite-dimensional structurable superalgebras are classified, over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. Again the Allison-Kantor construction associates some simple Lie superalgebra to such an structurable superalgebra. This Lie superalgebra may be of classical type or of Cartan type. In this work, the case of Cartan type is considered. Four series of unital simple structurable superalgebras are constructed which correspond to four series of simple Lie superalgebras of Cartan type. The main result is the classification of all simple finite-dimensional structurable superalgebras \(A\) of Cartan type: if \(A\) is not a Jordan superalgebra, then the even part of \(A\) is the direct sum of a simple structurable algebra of a Hermitian form and a solvable ideal. Then \(A\) is isomorphic to one of the superalgebras of the four types constructed before. The classification for classical type was done by \textit{J. R. Faulkner} (2008), who also gives an alternative proof for the Cartan type classification in [``Construction of structurable superalgebras of Cartan type'', Commun. Algebra 38, No. 12, 4476--4488 (2010; Zbl 1275.17011)].
