The author classifies semiaffine spaces \((P, {\mathcal L})\) i.e. incidence structures (linear spaces) in which every plane \(E\) is semiaffine \((E\) does not contain three distinct lines, two of them intersecting each other and not meeting the third one). The obtained results are valid without any finiteness assumptions. It is shown that if \(\dim P \geq 3\) and \(P\) does not contain a Sylvestrian line (line with only two points) then each of its planes is \((\alpha)\) a projective plane or a projective plane with \((\beta)\) one point, or \((\gamma)\) one line with all its points but one, or \((\delta)\) one line pointwise -- deleted. Moreover, assuming \(| {\mathcal K} | \geq 4\) for each \({\mathcal K} \in {\mathcal L}\), semiaffine space can be embedded in a projective space \((R, {\mathcal G})\). Some properties of such an embedding are established; in particular, an intrinsic characterization of subsets \(P\) of \(R\) yielding a semiaffine space is given. Then author shows that the set of corner points of \(P\) (assuming \(| {\mathcal K} | \geq 5\) for \({\mathcal K} \in {\mathcal L})\) is a subspace of \(P\). Finally (allowing Sylvestrian lines), \((P, {\mathcal L})\) is proved to be a product of its joinability classes, and the complete classification of its planes is given.
