The author considers in \(L_ 2({\mathbb{R}}^ 3)\) the operator (1) \(H=- \Delta +V\), where V is the operator of multiplying by a smooth real- valued periodic potential. The aim of the paper is to construct the perturbation theory for the Bloch functions \(\psi\), \(H\psi =\lambda \psi\), and the corresponding points of spectrum \(\lambda\) for fixed values of the quasi-impulse t and for large values of the energy \(\lambda\). The author shows that the eigenvalues \(\lambda\) (t) and corresponding spectral projectors E(t) of the quasi-periodic problems are analytic functions of the quasi-impulse. It is shown that if t belongs to a sufficiently large set then these functions can be expanded in rapidly converging series that are termwise differentiable in t any times; all these series are asymptotic in \(\lambda\) for large \(\lambda\). An immediate corollary of the constructed perturbation theory is the proof of the Bethe-Sommerfeld hypothesis in the considered situation.
