On extension groups in the category of Abelian diagrams (Q5896649)

Let \({\mathcal C}\) be a small category and let \({\mathcal A}\) be an abelian category. The paper is devoted to the extension groups \(\text{Ext}^ n(X,Y)\) in the category \(\text{Fun}({\mathcal C},{\mathcal A})\) of functors from \({\mathcal C}\) to \({\mathcal A}\). The main result of the paper is a construction of a spectral sequence connecting the functors \(\text{Ext}^ n\) in \(\text{Fun}({\mathcal C},{\mathcal A})\) and the extension groups in the category \({\mathcal A}\). An application of the sequence to computing homological dimensions is given.
