    To unify several summability methods (e.g. those due to Przybylski, Stieglitz, Lorentz, Raimi) the authors introduce the summability matrix method (SM-method) \({\mathcal A}=(A^{(\nu)})\) and the iteration product \(B[A]\) of the matrix methods \(A\) and \(B\) (IPM-method) and show there equivalence. Here the SM-method \(\mathcal A=(A^{(\nu)})\) is defined as a triple \((\mathcal V,\mathcal A,\mathcal V\text{-}\lim_{\mathcal A})\), where \(\mathcal V\) is any double sequence space on the scalar field \(\mathbb{K}\) (real or complex numbers), \(\mathcal V\text{-}\lim :\mathcal V\to \mathbb{K}\) is a linear limit functional, \(\mathcal A=(A^{(\nu)})_\nu=\left((a^{(\nu)}_{nk})_{n,k}\right)_\nu\) is a sequence of infinite matrices with entries in \(\mathbb{K}\), and where \[ \mathcal V_{\mathcal A}:=\Bigl\{x\in {\mathbb{K}}^{\mathbb{N}}\Bigm| \mathcal Ax:= \Bigl(\sum_k a^{(\nu)}_{nk} x_k\Bigr)_{n\nu}\in \mathcal V\Bigr\} \] is the domain of \(\mathcal A\) (with respect to \(\mathcal V\)), on which the limit functional \(\mathcal V\text{-}\lim_{\mathcal A}\) is defined by \(\mathcal V\text{-}\lim_{\mathcal A}(x):=\mathcal V\text{-}\lim(\mathcal Ax).\) The IPM-method \(B[A]\) of the matrix methods \(A\) and \(B\) is defined by the domain \[ C_{B[A]}:=\Bigl\{x\in {\mathbb{K}}^{\mathbb{N}}\Bigm| \lim_n[B(ax)]_n= \lim_n\Bigl(\sum_\nu b_{n\nu} \sum_k a_{\nu k} x_k\Bigr)\;\text{exists}\Bigr\} \] and the limit functional \(\lim_{B[A]}x:=\lim B(Ax)\) on \(C_{B[A]}\). In the final section the authors study the special case \[ \mathcal V = \mathcal C=\Bigl\{(a_{nk})\in {\mathbb{K}}^{{\mathbb{N}}\times\mathbb{N}}\Bigm| \mathcal C\text{-}\lim(a_{nk})=\lim_k \lim_n a_{nk} \text{exists}\Bigr\}, \] and they prove Mazur-Orlicz-type theorems for \(\mathcal V_{\mathcal A}=\mathcal C_{\mathcal A}\) and consistency theorems for pairs \((\mathcal C_{\mathcal A},B)\) where \(B\) is any summability method with separable domain.
