    The author considers the mixed problem \(L[u]=f(t,x)\); \(u(0,x)=u_ 0(x)\), \(u_ t(0,x)=u_ 1(x)\); \(B[u]=g(t,s)\), \(s\in S\), stated for u(t,x) is the domain (0,T)\(\times \Omega\) where \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain with smooth boundary S in \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\) while the operators L and B are defined as follows: \[ L[u]=\partial^ 2u/\partial t^ 2-2t^ k\sum^{n}_{j=1}h_ j(t,x)\partial^ 2u/\partial t\partial x_ j- t^{2k}\sum^{n}_{i,j=1}a_{ij}(t,x)\partial^ 2u/\partial x_ i\partial x_ j+ \] \[ a_ 0(t,x)\partial u/\partial t+t^{k- 1}\sum^{n}_{j=1}a_ j(t,x)\partial u/\partial x_ j+d(t,x)u \] \[ B[u]=t^ k[\sum^{n}_{i,j=1}a_{ij}(t,s)\nu_ i(s)\nu_ j(s)]^{1/2}\partial u/\partial \nu + \] \[ \sum^{n}_{j=1}\alpha_ j(t,s)\partial u/\partial x_ j-\beta (t,s)\partial u/\partial t+\gamma (t,s)u. \] Here k is a positive integer, \(\nu (s)=(\nu_ 1(s),...,\nu_ n(s))\) is the inner unit normal at \(s\in S\) and \(\nu \alpha =0\). The aim of the paper is to give some sufficient conditions which ensure the existence and uniqueness of classical solutions. The result is phrased as a theorem. Without giving the details of the proof, the author outlines his method which consists of deriving an energy estimate.
