Elliptic equations with discontinuous nonlinearities (Q5906776)

We study the first boundary value problem for elliptic equations with nonlinearities that are discontinuous with respect to the phase variable. We suggest conditions of the existence of solutions whose values can coincide with discontinuity points of the nonlinearities only on a set of measure zero. The stated method can be applied for the study of wide classes of other boundary value problems and of integral equations.
