    Let \(a = (a_{i})^{\infty}_{i = 1}\) be a strictly increasing sequence of natural numbers and let \(\mathcal{A}\) be a space of Lebesgue measurable functions defined on \([0,1).\) Let \(\langle y\rangle\) denote the fractional part of the real number \(y.\) A sequence \(a\) is an \(\mathcal{A}^{*}\) sequence if for each \(f \in \mathcal{A}\) \[ \lim_{N\rightarrow \infty} \frac{1}{N} \sum^{N}_{i = 1} f (\langle a_{i}x\rangle)= \int^{1}_{0}f(t)\,dt, \] almost everywhere with respect to Lebesgue measure.
