On fixed point and almost fixed point problems of lower semicontinuous type multivalued mappings (Q5916167)

The authors obtain almost fixed point theorems and fixed point theorems for lower semicontinuous type multivalued mappings in metrizable H-spaces. As an application, they obtain a nonempty intersection theorem for a multivalued mapping on a compact H-convex space. The main results are good variants and generalizations of the almost fixed point theorems of \textit{O. Hadžić} [Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 27, No. 4, 387--392 (1996; Zbl 0861.47036)] and \textit{X. Wu} and \textit{F. Li} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 231, No. 1, 118--132 (1999; Zbl 0985.54019)].
