Generalizing a previous result due to \textit{G. Jank, E. Mues} and \textit{L. Volkmann} [Complex Variables, Theory Appl. 6, 51-71 (1986; Zbl 0603.30037)], the following theorems will be proved: (1) If \(f\) is nonconstant entire, \(a\neq 0\), \(c\neq 0\), and if \(f(z)=a\Rightarrow f'(z)=a\) and \(f'(z)=a\Rightarrow f''(z)=c\), then either \(f(z)=Ae^{cz/a}+(ac-a^2)/c\) or \(f(z)=Ae^{cz/a}+a\), \(A\neq 0\). (2) If \(f\) is nonconstant entire, if \(f(z)=z\Leftrightarrow f'(z)=z\) and if \(f'(z)=z\Rightarrow f''(z)=z\), the \(f=f'\). The proofs offer a nice exercise in the Nevanlinna theory.
