On the distributions of the form \(\sum_i(\delta_{p_i}-\delta_{n_i})\) (Q5917525)

The author presents some properties of the distribution \(T\) defined by \(T = \sum_i(\delta_{p_i}-\delta_{n_i})\) where \((p_i)\) and \((n_i)\) are sequences of points contained in the metric space \((X, d)\) such that \(\sum_i d(p_i,n_i)<\infty\). The value of \(T\) acting on the test function \(\xi\in \text{Lip}(X)\) is given by \(\langle T,\xi\rangle= \sum_i [\xi(p_i)-\xi(n_i)]\). He studies the properties of \(T\) which are irreducibility, regularity and singularity.
