Uniform preconditioners for the time dependent Stokes problem (Q5917556)

The authors discuss the block diagonal preconditioners for a discrete analogue of the following stationary Stokes problem \[ (I - \varepsilon^2 \Delta) u - \text{grad} p = f \quad \text{in } \Omega, \] \[ \text{div} u = 0 \quad \text{in }\Omega, \] \[ u = 0 \quad \text{on } \partial \Omega, \] when the perturbation parameter could be arbitrary small. The authors design preconditioners that are bounded unformly with respect to both \(\varepsilon\) and the discretization parameter.
