The flow of blood through two stenoses is modelled by the steady laminar flow of a Newtonian fluid in a rigid circular tube with variable radius. Application to atherosclerosis is envisaged. The region of interest is mapped into a rectangular region, and a numerical solution is obtained using finite difference methods. Poiseuille flow is assumed at inlet. Calculations are made for a wide variety of Reynolds numbers, spacing of the stenoses and constriction diameter. A comprehensive set of numerical results is presented in graphical form for a wide range of variables.
