Fuzzy differential equations (Q5918032)

The authors deal with a new solution to a fuzzy initial value problem of first order. In the first part, they give a way from the initial value problem for the first-order ordinary differential equation to the fuzzy first-order initial value problem. In the second part, the authors define a new-kind of solution based on the fuzzification of the crisp solution to the initial value problem \({dy\over dt}= f(t,y,k)\), \(y(0)=c\), with \(k=(k_1,k_2, \dots,k_n)\). In the third part, they give some types of derivatives of fuzzy functions: Goetschel-Voxman derivative, Seikala derivative, Dubois-Prade derivative, Puri-Ralescu derivative, Kandel-Friedman-Ming derivative. In the fourth part, the authors determine relationships among the solutions to the fuzzy initial value problem using various types of derivatives. The fifth part contains some applications and examples. A short summary and a conclusion are given in the sixth part.
