The author investigates the choice of subdivision points in the evaluation of semi-infinite integrals with oscillatory integrands. He presents a guideline how to choose an appropriate sequence of partition points based on a simple pre-analysis of the oscillating factor of the integrand. With the aid of numerical exmples he shows that the efficiency of the partition extrapolation method largely depends on the quadrature algorithms used for the computation of the partial integrals.
