The author uses a generalisation of the Siegel-Shidlovski method to prove the algebraic independence of values of Hypergeometric series and its derivatives. In particular, let \(t=r-s>0\) and \[f(z)=\sum_{n=0}^\infty \frac{(\alpha_1)_n\cdots(\alpha_r)_n}{(\beta_1)_n\cdots(\beta_s)_n}(zt)^{tn}.\] Under certain technical conditions on the \(\alpha_i\) and \(\beta_i\), the authors proves that if \(\gamma\) is a nonzero algebraic number from an algebraic number field \(\mathbb{K}\), then the set \[f(\gamma),f'(\gamma),f''(\gamma),\ldots,f^{(r-1)}(\gamma)\] is infinitely algebraically independent, that is, for each polynomial \(P(x_1,\ldots,x_r)\) there are infinitely many primes \(p\) for each of which there is a valuation \(v\) of \(\mathbb{K}\) extending the \(p\)-adic valuation of \(\mathbb{Q}\) such that \(P(f(\gamma),f'(\gamma),f''(\gamma),\ldots,f^{(r-1)}(\gamma))\neq 0\) in the field \(\mathbb{K}\).
