Let \(f: [0,1]\to [0,1]\) be a continuous map. The \(\omega\)-limit set \(\omega(x,f)\) of an \(f\) generated by \(x\) is the set of limit points of the trajectory of \(x\) by \(f\) \((\text{Traj}_f(x)= \{f^n(x)\}_{n=0}^{+\infty}\), \(f^0= \text{Id}_I\), \(f^n= f\circ f^{n-1})\). Let \(\Lambda(f)= \bigcup_{x\in I}\omega(x, f)\). The paper analyzes when is \(P(f)= \Delta(f)\), by \(P(f)\) the authors denote the set of periodic points of \(f\) (moreover, it is analyzed where \(\overline{P(f)}=\Delta(f)\)). It is shown that \(\overline{P(f)}= \Delta(f)\) cannot be characterized in terms of chaotic behaviour of the function \(f\). On the other hand, if by \(\text{CR}(f)\) the chain recurrent set of points is denoted, it is is shown that the condition \(\overline{P(f)}= \text{CR}(f)\) insures that every \(\omega\)-limit set of \(f\) is contained in the Hausdorff closure of the periodic orbits of \(f\).
