A map \(f:X\to Y\) is called sequence-covering if whenever \(\{y_n\}\) is a convergent sequence in \(Y\), there exists a convergent sequence \(\{x_n\}\) in \(X\) with \(f(x_n) = y_n\). Also, \(f\) is called a 1-sequence-covering if for each \(y\in Y\), there exists \(x\in X\) such that whenever \(\{y_n\}\) is a sequence in \(Y\) converging to \(y\), there exists a sequence \(\{x_n\}\) in \(X\) converging to \(x\) with \(f(x_n)= y_n\). This paper shows that the following hold, for example. (1) Every sequence-covering and quotient \(s\)-image of a locally separable metric space is precisely a sequential and local \(\aleph_0\)-space with a point-countable \(cs\)-network. (2) Every sequence-covering and compact map defined on a metric space is a 1-sequence-covering map.
