The author considers the first-order differential equation with a parameter \[ x'(t)=f(t,x(t), \lambda), \;t \in J = [0,b], \qquad x(0)=k_0, \;G(x(b),\lambda)=0, \] where \(f \in C(J \times {\mathbb{R}}\times {\mathbb{R}}, {\mathbb{R}})\), \(G \in C( {\mathbb{R}}\times {\mathbb{R}}, {\mathbb{R}})\) and \(k_0 \in {\mathbb{R}}\) are given. He proves that in the presence of a pair of lower and upper solutions such that the lower solution is under the upper one, and assuming, among others, one-sided Lipschitz conditions on \(f\) and \(G\) then there exist two monotone sequences that converge to the minimal and the maximal solutions to the treated problem. This result generalizes some others given by the author in previous works.
