This article is devoted to several important problems in the modelling of polymers: isothermal and isobaric crystallization, and polymerization process (the Ziegler-Natta production of polypropylen). The author is mainly interested in developing the models; the mathematical analysis of the models is only sketched and rather cited. In the first part, starting from the classical Kolmogorov-Avrami theory of isothermal crystallization, the author presents more complicated models of crystalization and studies conditions under which the travelling waves appear. The second part is devoted to the model of isobaric phase change, which is based on experimental data. The last part deals with the modelling of polymerization process.
