Let \((M,d)\) be a metric space. A mapping \(T: M\to M\) is said to be nonexpansive if \(d(Tx,Ty)\leq d(x,y)\) for every \(x,y\in M\). If \(X\) is a Banach space and \(\tau\) is a topology on \(X\), then \(X\) has the fixed point property (FPP) if for every nonexpansive mapping \(T\) defined from a bounded convex \(\tau\)-sequentially compact subset \(C\) of \(X\) into \(C\) has a fixed point. If every nonexpansive mapping \(T: C\to C\), has a fixed point, \(X\) has the weak fixed point property (w-FPP). If \(\tau\) is the weak topology, the \(\tau\)-FPP is w-FPP. A Banach space \(X\) is said to have the \(\tau\)-GGLD property if \(\lim_n\|x_n\|< \lim_{n,m,n\neq m}\|x_n- x_m\|\) for every norm-bounded \(\tau\) null sequence such that both limits exist and \(\lim_n\|x_n\|\neq 0\). Let \(\{x_n\}\) be a \(\tau\) null sequence which is norm-bounded. The function \(\phi_{(x_n)}(x)= \limsup_n\|x-x_n\|\) is called a function of \(\tau\)-null type. A Banach space \(X\) is said to have the property \(M(\tau)\) if the function of \(\tau\)-null type are constant on the spheres, i.e., \(\phi_{(x_n)}(x)= \phi_{(x_n)}(y)\) whenever \(\|x\|=\|y\|\). In this paper, if \(\tau\) satisfies certain regularity conditions, the authors prove that normal structure assures the \(\tau\)-FPP and the Goebel-Karlovitz' Lemma still holds. The authors use this results to study \(\tau\)-GGLD and \(M(\tau)\) properties which imply \(\tau\)-FPP. Several exemples of spaces and topologies where these results can be applied, specially the topology of convergence locally in measure in Lebesgue space are presented. In the second part of this paper the authors study the preservance of the \(\tau\)-FPP under isomorphisms.
