Suppose that \(f\) is \(K\)-quasiregular from the unit ball \(B^n(1)\) into itself and \(|f(0)|\geq\delta>0\). It is shown that the number \(n(1/ 2, 0)\) of zeros of \(f\) in \(B^n(1/2)\) satisfies \(n(1/2,0)\leq c_1\log (1/ \delta)^{n-1}\) where \(c_1\) depends only on \(n\) and \(K\). The proof is based on the estimate for the ratio of the maximum modulus \(M(3/2r)/M(2r)\) in terms of \(n(r, 0)\). This estimate is derived from the potential theoretic estimate involving \(n\)-capacity and nonlinear harmonic measure, see [\textit{J. Heinonen}, \textit{T. Kilpeläinen}, \textit{0. Martio}, Nonlinear potential theory of degenerate elliptic equations (1993; Zbl 0780.31001)]. Another approach can be based on the use of the Riesz measure associated with the nonlinear superharmonic function by \(\log 1/|f(x)|\), [\textit{T. Kilpeläinen}, \textit{J. Malý}, Ann Sc. Norm. Super. Pisa, Cl. Sci., IV. Ser. 19, 591-612 (1992; Zbl 0797.35052)].
