Univariate strip interpolations by nonlinear parmetric splines (Q5928223)

Algorithms for treating several constraint interpolation problems using parametric cubic splines introduced by \textit{C. Manni} [J. Comput. Appl. Math. 69, No. 1, 143-157 (1996; Zbl 0858.65007)] (range restricted interpolation subject to derivative obstacles, convex interpolation, splines minimizing the Holladay functional) are developed. Explicit bounds for the parameters occurring in the spline class are given such that within those bounds the considered problems are always solvable. Numerical examples are given.
