The authors derive results for approximating the integral \[ I(\ell,\varepsilon)=\int^\infty_0 f(t,\varepsilon)e^{-\ell t}dt\quad (\varepsilon,\ell >0) \] which are valid for large values of \(\ell\) and for any finite positive value of \(\varepsilon\). Applications of the obtained results are given for the case of integral equations of the second kind.
