Let \((M^{2n}, F, g)\) be a Kähler manifold. \(M^{2n}\) is called a holomorphically subprojective Kählerian manifold if there exists a local real coordinate system \(x^h\) such that the Christoffel symbol has the form \[ \Gamma _{ij}^k =\rho _{(i}\delta ^h_{j)}+ \tilde {\rho }_{(i}F^h_{j)}+f_{ij}x^h-f_{jr}F^r_i \tilde {x}^h, \] with \(f_{[ij]}=0, f_{rj]}F^r_{i]}=0,\) where \(\rho \) is a 1-form and \(f\) a \((0,2)\)-tensor field, \(\tilde x^h=F^h_rx^r, \tilde {\rho }_h=-F_h^r\rho r, (i,j)\) and \([i,j]\) represent the symmetric and skew-symmetric part with respect to the indices \(i,j.\) A holomorphically subprojective Kählerian manifold \(M^{2n}\) is of the first kind if and only if the Bochner curvature tensor is vanishing. In the present paper a necessary condition, for a holomorphically subprojective Kählerian manifold is obtained to be a symmetric space. This condition is given in terms of two tensors, namely: \(U_{ij}=x_i\tilde x_j-\tilde x_ix_j, V_{ij}=x_ix_j+\tilde x_i\tilde x_j.\) Holomorphically subprojective Kählerian manifolds of first kind with \((1+\rho _rx^r)=0, \rho _r\tilde x^r=0\) have been classified by \textit{S. Yamaguchi} and \textit{T. Adati} [Atti Accad. Naz. Lincei, VIII. Ser., Rend., Cl. Sci. Fis. Mat. Nat. 60, 405-413 (1976; Zbl 0364.53005)] in manifolds of constant holomorphic sectional curvature or locally products of two manifolds of constant holomorphic sectional curvature \(H(\geq 0)\) and \(-H.\) It is shown that in this theorem the conditions imposed on the holomorphically subprojective Kählerian manifold of the first kind can be replaced by one involving \(U_{ij}\) \((\nabla _lU_{ij}=2(\rho _l +f_{lr}x^r)U_{ij}).\)
