The paper deals with a system of Hammerstein integral equations of the form \[ \varphi (x)=\int_{G}k_{1}(x,y)f_{1}[y,\varphi (y),\psi (y)], \quad \psi (x)=\int_{G}k_{2}(x,y)f_{2}[y,\varphi (y),\psi (y)], \] where \(G\) is a bounded domain in the \(N\)-dimensional Euclidean space \(\mathbb{R}^{N}\), and its measure \(\operatorname {mes} G>0\). Conditions are established when the above system has at least one nontrivial continuous solution. Applications are given to the two-point boundary value problem for one system of two second order ordinary nonlinear differential equations.
