The aim of this article is to show that there exist infinitely many elliptic curves \(E\) defined over \({\mathbb Q}\) with torsion subgroup isomorphic to \({\mathbb Z}/2{\mathbb Z}\times{\mathbb Z}/2{\mathbb Z}\) and Mordell-Weil rank \(\geq 4\) by using a technique that consists of associating a Diophantine triple (i.e. a triple of rational numbers satisfying certain quadratic relations) with a model of an elliptic curve over \({\mathbb Q}\), which will have in some cases a non-trivial Mordell-Weil group. The author also computes a model of an elliptic curve over \({\mathbb Q}\) with Mordell-Weil rank \(7\) and torsion subgroup isomorphic to \({\mathbb Z}/2{\mathbb Z}\times{\mathbb Z}/2{\mathbb Z}\).
