After recalling the notion of analytic torsion forms due to \textit{J.-M. Bismut} and \textit{K. Köhler} [J. Alg. Geom. 1, No. 4, 647-684 (1991; Zbl 0784.32023)] and that of Bott-Chern classes due to \textit{J.-M. Bismut}, \textit{H. Gillet} and \textit{C. Soulé} [Commun. Math. Phys. 115, No. 1, 49-78 (1988; Zbl 0651.32017)], the author continues the study in Part I of this paper [Bull. Soc. Math. Fr. 127, No. 4, 541-621 (1999; Zbl 0956.58017)] and finally concludes the proof of the main theorem of the paper; i.e., the functoriality of analytic torsion forms with respect to the composition of two submersions, which expresses a relation between the analytic torsion forms and the Bott-Chern classes. In the course of the proof, the author shows that the definition of the Bott-Chern classes given in this paper and that given in Part I of this paper are, in fact, equivalent.
