The author studies the expansion of an immersed convex plane curve by a nonhomogeneous function of curvature. He investigates its blowup and convergence behaviour. It is a sequel to his previous work with \textit{B. Chow} [J. Differ. Geom. 44, 312-330 (1996; Zbl 0872.58052)].
