Some new 6-(14, 7, 4) designs (Q5929838)

The smallest non-trivial simple 6-designs are the 6-\((14,7,4)\) designs. \textit{D. L. Kreher} and \textit{S. P. Radziszowski} [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 43, 237-243 (1986; Zbl 0647.05013)] constructed a simple 6-(14, 7, 4) design. Until recently, this was the only known such design. In the present paper, the authors construct, using trades, four new simple 6-\((14,7,4)\) designs, forming two non-isomorphic partitions of the set of all 7-subsets of the 14-set. Several results about the derived parameter sets are also obtained.
