The authors study the asymptotic behaviour of the weak solutions to the barotropic (compressible) Navier-Stokes equations in bounded domains under Dirichlet and no-stick boundary conditions. This paper is a continuation of \textit{A. Novotný} and \textit{I. Straškraba} [Ann. Mat. Pura Appl. IV)] where the same authors considered the space periodic conditions. The authors show that for any sequence \(t_n \to \infty\) there is a subsequence \(s_n\), a number \(r\geq 1\) and a function \(\varrho_\infty\) such that \(\lim_{n \to \infty} \int_\Omega |\varrho(x,s_n)-\varrho_\infty(x)|^r dx = 0\) (\(\varrho\) is the density). Moreover, if the solution to \(\nabla p(\varrho_\infty)=\varrho_\infty f\), \(\int_\Omega \varrho_\infty dx = \int_\Omega \varrho_0 dx\) is unique, the convergence holds without the restriction to subsequences. The main assumptions here are the potential force \(f\) and the function \(p(r)=A r^\gamma\) with \(\gamma>1\) for \(N=2\) and \(\gamma >\frac 32\) for \(N=3\) (actually, this condition is slightly more general here).
