    Let \(L(\kappa)= -\Delta-i\kappa B-\kappa^2\) be the quadratic operator pencil in \(\mathbb{R}^N\) with \(N\neq 2\). Here \(\Delta\) is the \(N\)-dimensional Laplacian, \(\kappa\in\mathbb{C}\) and \(B\) denotes the multiplication operator by a real-valued function \(b(n)\), such that there exist constants \(b_0\), \(\delta\in (0,1]\) with \(0<b_0< (2-\sqrt 2)\delta/2\) and \(|b(x) |\leq b_0(1+|x |)^{-1-2\delta}\) for any \(x\in \mathbb{R}^N\). One proves that \(L(\sigma\pm i \tau)^{-1}\) \((\sigma,\tau \in\mathbb{R}^*)\) is continuously extended to \(\tau=0\) as an operator from \(L^{2,(1+\delta) /2}(\mathbb{R}^N)\) to \(L^{2,-(1+\delta)/2} (\mathbb{R}^N)\).
