Let \(B^d_R=R B^d\) be the ball of radius \(R>1\) in \(\mathbb{C}^d\). For \(1\leq p\leq\infty\) and natural numbers \(l,d\), denote by \(H_R (l,p,d)\) the space of holomorphic functions on \(B^d_R\) whose radial derivative of order~\(l\) belongs to the closed unit ball of the Hardy space \(H^p (B^d_R)\). Let \(H^0_R (l,p,d)\) be the subspace in \(H_R(l,p,d)\) consisting of all functions \(f\) such that the first \(l\) terms of the homogeneous expansion of~\(f\) are zero. For a praecompact set \(A\) in a metric space \(X\) and \(\varepsilon >0\), denote by \(N_\varepsilon (A; X)\) the smallest cardinality of an \(\varepsilon\)-net for \(A\) in~\(X\); the dyadic logarithm \(\mathcal H_\varepsilon (A; X)= \log_2 N_\varepsilon(A;X)\) is called the \(\varepsilon\)-entropy of the set \(A\) in~\(X\). Finally, set \(X_p=C (\overline{B^d})\) if \(p= \infty\), and \(X_p=L^p(\sigma)\), where \(\sigma\) is the surface measure of the unit sphere \(\partial B^d\), if \(1\leq p< \infty\). The main result of the paper under review is that for any \(R>1\), \(l,d\in \mathbb{N}\), and \(1\leq p\leq\infty\), one has the asymptotic expansion \[ \mathcal H_{e^{-t}}(H^0_R(l,p,d);X_p)= \frac 2{(d+1)!(\log R)^d} t^{d+1} - \frac{2l}{d!(\log R)^d} t^d \log t + O(t^d) \] as \(t\to+\infty\) (i.e., \(e^{-t}\to 0\)).
