Optimization techniques for solving elliptic control problems with control and state constraints. II: Distributed control (Q5931037)

This work concerns the numerical solution of optimal control for semilinear elliptic equations subject to control and state pointwise inequality constraints. Distributed controls are considered with Dirichlet and Neumann conditions. Boundary controls were considered in Part I for the same type of problems [see Comput. Optim. Appl. 16, No. 1, 29-55 (2000; Zbl 0961.93026)]. Essentially, the same discretization and optimization techniques are presented (without convergence results). Several numerical examples are included.
