The authors made use of Jack's lemma [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 3, 469-474 (1971; Zbl 0224.30026)] to prove some inequalities satisfied by analytic functions subject to the condition \[ \left|\frac{z^2f'(z)}{f^2(z)}-1\right|<1-\alpha,\quad 0\leq \alpha<1,\quad|z|<1. \]
