Space flows and disturbances due to bodies in motion through the magnetoplasma (Q5931507)

The paper describes a method for calculating non-equilibrium ionospheric structures, such as jets, wakes and clouds. Disturbances of charged particle flows due to the interaction with bodies are simulated by taking into account the effect of ambient magnetic field. The interaction between solid surfaces and flows is simulated by using a new image method. The flow disturbances are described by the Boltzmann equation, and in the case of ambient homogeneous magnetic field this equation is solved analytically.
