This paper gives numerical results on 22 selected solutions to equation (1) \(u''+ qu= 0\), with \(q= a_1 t^a+ b_1t^b\sin t^2\), that was treated in part I. It uses Lohner's algorithm, which leads to exact enclosures of solutions (it is described in detail). Figures for \(t^{a/4}u\) and \(|t^{a/4}u|\) are given up to the first \(N\) maxima with \(N> 100 000\) in some cases (note that \(t^{a/4}\approx q^{1/4}\) for large \(t\)). They reveal the expected Wintner's property (WP) in cases where WP holds, as shown in part I, and a different behaviour in other cases, which leads to the supposition that WP does not hold. A very surprising behaviour is found in the case \(a= 2.5\), \(b= 2.4\), where the maxima of \(|t^{a/4}u|\) are roughly constant at some \(t\)-intervals, but then jump near \(t= 20\), \(t= 90\), \(t= 280\) to much higher values. This behaviour has also been checked by transforming (1) putting \(x= t^2\) with the same outcome. So far no explanation for this strange behaviour of solutions that come from a simple equation is available.
