The author uses an inverse method to find exact solutions for second-grade fluids. Solutions to the equations of motions are sought by assuming certain physical and geometrical properties of flow field. Using the above technique, new exact solutions for second-grade fluids are found, and previous results by \textit{A. M. Siddiqui} [Mech. Res. Commun. 17, No. 3, 157-163 (1990; Zbl 0697.76010)] are completed.
