Dirac operator on the Podleś sphere (Q5932508)

The Podleś sphere is a noncommutative sphere, it is a quotient of the quantum group \(S_{\mu}U(2)\). The author calculates the spectrum of the Dirac operator on the Podleś sphere. At first, he discusses how to define spin structures in the noncommutative context, following Durdevich. Then he calculates the spectrum of the Dirac operator on the Podleś sphere. Because the Podleś sphere is a quantum analogue of the classical sphere, viewed as a compact symmetric space, the author also recalls the calculation of the spectrum of the Dirac operator on compact symmetric spaces according to \textit{M. Cahen} and \textit{S. Gutt} [Simon Stevin 62, No. 3/4, 209-242 (1988; Zbl 0677.53057)] and \textit{Ch. Bär} [Arch. Math. 59, No. 1, 65-79 (1992; Zbl 0786.53030)].
