Let \(f_1, \dots, f_m\) be real analytic functions on \(\mathbb R^n\) having common zero set \(Z\). The classical Łojasiewicz inequality says that \(\max_{i}\{ |f_i(x)|\} \geq C\cdot \text{dist} (x,Z)^M\) if \(\text{dist} (x,P)<\varepsilon\), \(P\in Z\). In the case of real polynomials \(f_i\) the author gives an effective Łojasiewicz inequality for \(\max_{i}\{ f_i(x)\}\) instead of \({\max}_{i}\{|f_i(x)|\}\) assuming that \({\max}_{i}\{ f_i(x)\}\) has an isolated zero. He discusses the situations where the Łojasiewicz exponent \(M\) is large.
