The author investigates the limit behaviour of sums of independent identically distributed random variables, where limits of probabilities are considered with respect to a \(p\)-adic metric, with \(p\) a prime number. Despite the rather unusual feature of a \(p\)-adic metric, limit theorems hold in a field of \(p\)-adic numbers and are related to divisibility by \(p\) of the sums considered. The author proves two limit theorems which describe all possible limit behaviours with respect to the uniform \(p\)-adic probability distribution.
