Domain decomposition in acoustic and structure-acoustic analysis (Q5935681)

Conclusion: This paper suggests a scheme for modal decomposition of interacting structure-fluid and fluid-fluid systems. A symmetric standard eigenvalue analysis is employed for interacting systems based on eigenvalue analysis conducted on subdomains. The computational profit lies in the possibility to chose a limited set of eigenvectors from the subdomains. The capabilities of the proposed schemes are illustrated by engineering examples related to interior acoustics.
